Last chance for experimentation before the season hits us and, probably, the closest match-up yet. Given that we’re looking to win League 1 this time round and Swansea are a pretty solid top half of the Championship team, the fact there wasn’t much in the match was promising. Swansea controlled the possession better but we looked dangerous on the counter and eager in the tackle.

Leandro, our newest signing, started on the left wing, with Snodgrass moving over to the right and cutting inside more often, which was effective in a number of moves. Again, we went with an attacking central midfield of Howson and Kilkenny, bringing Merino on at half time in place of Howson after he picked up a knock, though Doyle should be fit and ready for the League 1 opener against Exeter.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
